Latest meme, President Obama's foreign policy failing

I caught part of Bruce Dumont's Beyond the Beltway and he had two rather smug "conservatives" and two purported liberals.

http://www.beyondthebeltway.com/audio/podcast/BTB_09-30-12.MP3

One of the liberals was defending the Obama policies, and the other was disturbingly gleeful about what he claimed was failure. It seems to me it's a bit soon to declare President Obama's policies a failure based on the terrorist attack and the murder of our ambassador in Libya. And was the Obama administration really deficient in its response?

What are "conservatives" offering as an alternative? Neoconservatives? Bush's policies? Invasion of Iran?

so, it's pretty safe to bet that we're about to get another round of Bush II/Cheney Foreign Policy under a hypothetical (and to be feared) Romney Administration that, although considered pretty roundly discredited by the end of GWB's first term (not only by the public but, surprisingly, even by Bush himself), still remains as popular as ever among a lot of Repubs. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

There's an investigation ongoing. The final results are not in. Information is trickling in and the Administration has released it as it has become available to them.

That's the truth.

Conserva-liars are going after Susan Rice. She went on the Sunday talk shows and spoke the truth. The evidence, at the time, was not conclusive about what actually happened. She appeared only several days after the attacks, for Pete's sake! She stated that the initial protests were due to the movie--which is the truth. No question.

The right-wing propaganda machine is suggesting that because the Obama Administration has waited for the investigation results--this means that they're inept or covering up.

Oh please. These fools are nothing but snarling, rabid wolves--crouched down on their haunches just inventing realities in order to make the President look bad. They lie and they don't care. They are clowns who are allergic to the truth.

I hope the debate will the time to kick these assholes to the curb and set the record straight.

They lie and they don't care. We should get on them for it.

What really disturbs me is that Mark Cassello (I think it was him) was going along with the "conservatives". http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mark-cassello/

What's with this guy?

If it is, my apologies to Mark Cassello.

One of them was defending the liberal line, and the other was rather squishy. Now is just not the time for squishy. I'm sorry, but this is critical. We cannot lose this election. Too much rides on it.

...totally bastardize this Benghazi issue. It's really been disgusting and so shameful.

First, they took Obama's initial comments about the PROTESTS out of context--and said that those words were Obama's response to the murdering of our ambassador and other Americans. As if that wasn't disgusting enough, they are now playing this game--where everything that anyone says is positioned as "a contradiction" or evidence of a cover up--or evidence of weak foreign policy.

Give me a break! Romney, Fox News and the right-wing noise machine just sit around all day--making shit up. That's what they do.

The Administration's silence has been due to the reality of an ongoing investigation. But the right has used Obama's prudence and careful handling of this sensitive situation--as an empty space to jump in and lie their butts off.

I can tell that you are as ticked off about this as I am. It has been just jarring to watch the lies.

I am hoping--and I have said this in previous posts--that the Administration is waiting for the debates to retort some of these hysterical, outrageous lies. It would be a thing of beauty. The President just has to speak the truth---that there is an ongoing investigation and this is a very serious matter--not some cheap political game to score points. Then he can explain that they are waiting for the FBI/CIA to release findings and he can discuss the things that he has done (worked with Egypt to maintain security around that embassy and to quell protests, as well as Libyan government to do the same; maintained communications with investigators and dispatched Americans to our embassies to maintain safety and security). Then, Obama can throw in an example of reckless, stupid, hasty remarks--and use Romney's misguided press conference that he called and made a fool of himself.

I really think that would be a home-run of epic proportions and I have to believe that this is why the administration has been very slow to respond to the disinformation.

If this happens, and if it is pulled off well, Romney will be gobsmacked on the podium and he won't know whether to shit or go sailing.

Has been for decades. Nothing really shocking about that.

Mittens will just be much worse.

Either one of them trying to say they are improving it would be laughable.

It sounds like Afghanistan Problems. Perhaps the President should be ready to act for our soldiers over there. They are trying to make the 11 years of war stick to Obama. At the same time our soldiers are getting murdered every day. They are doing the Vietnam thing and putting out death numbers. All day CNN has concentrated on reporting about war. They meaning The Uglicans!
