2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI swear if Bernie were to cure cancer today, the corporate media conglomerates would be interviewing
people wanting to know why the hell he hasn't cured heart disease.
The corporate media conglomerates can't bring themselves to just report good news regarding Bernie without staining or qualifying it, lest his momentum builds up too great, that's what they're afraid of.

No such questions are directed toward Hillary when she receives African American endorsements.
The same thing was done during the first debate when they altered the question conveniently just as Anderson Cooper got to Hillary.
Do black lives matter or do all lives matter? was presented to Bernie and Martin, no matter how you answer that question, you will antagonize somebody with your answer.
Cooper didn't present a "Sofie's Choice question when he got to Hillary, he altered it giving her an out.

(58,365 posts)the federal government cared about the people first, cannabis would've been taken off schedule 1 decades ago and the extraordinary potential of that plant greatly researched, but the almighty dollar dominates the government and you know it.

Our 'freedom of the press' is bought and paid for by the oligarchy.

(58,365 posts)Hillary said or how she said it versus what Bernie said.
I never did see them cover Bernie's key point of how corrupt our campaign finance system has become?
I'm sure that one hits too close to home for the corporate media conglomerates.

(7,661 posts)entire video but this Young Turks video came to my mind right away.
Like some here say it is just good journalistic vetting no bias at all....
Uncle Joe
(58,365 posts)before and I couldn't agree more with the Young Turks except for the minor quibble, of referring to the corporate media conglomerates as the "mainstream media" polls of Americans on so many fundamental issues are totally at odds with the one way, top down propaganda spewed by that institution.
Their bias and conflict of interest is blatant to anyone willing to study with an objective mind, current events, history, politics, science and economics just to name a few outside of the corporate media conglomerates' distorted bubble.
Thanks for the addition, UglyGreed and peace to you.
