2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIs it just me, or does Mitt give out that awful laugh when he lies or tries to tell a funny?
(I can't call them a "joke" as they are generally sick humor.)
Anyway, I think the debates will be a good way to check this theory out. I can't remember a time when Romney truly laughed...it always seems fake or forced...a nervous tic.
This will be the first time I've been able to force myself to listen to more than 5 minutes (except for that 47% video) of his speeches without falling asleep, so I'm going to try to count and analyze those rare moments when he gives that (shudder) laugh of his.
Maybe I'm reading him wrong.

The mock interview is hilarious.
Romney is one of the most awkward people to ever run for President.

(715 posts)I have to think his handlers have told him to be conscious of it but he can't stop himself. George W Bush was told about his smirk. He managed to control it. Romney just can't. He gets nervous and that creepy laugh just comes out.
