Creeds Scott Stapp tells Fox and Friends hes not voting for ObamaOn Tuesday mornings edition of Fox and Friends, Scott Stapp, lead singer of the rock band Creed, announced that he is not voting for President Barack Obama in this falls elections. The Florida-based rocker voted for Obama in 2008, but said that he now regrets it.
Im just disappointed, he said. I had really high hopes and high expectations and was really inspired by President Obama, and I still am. I mean, hes an amazing speaker. Um, I just found his in my opinion uh, his administration ineffective. A lot of promises, but no real delivery.
Stapp did not go so far as to endorse Obamas opponent, former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA), but said that What Romneys offering is whats important right now to him, and that Romney needs to lay out his plan so that the American people can understand it.

Creed's Scott Stapp and Kid Rock may have been caught on camera receiving blow jobs from groupies on a tour bus in 1999, but the Christian rocker insists they did not have sex with those women.
"Well, there's no sex on the sex tape. For it to get characterized that way, I mean, that kind of sucks," he said in an interview with Spin magazine.
(...)
"What sucks about that is Bob -- Kid Rock -- and I were friends," he told the magazine. "He'd been over to my house and we jammed and hung out. We were in Tampa playing with Metallica, and I walked into his trailer and there were some strippers. It's a time in his life and a time in my life that we'd like to put behind us and not publicize because we have children now, and they're in school, and their friends read. I know he was pretty pissed off at me when that came out."
The 45-minute tape didn't surface until 2006, when Stapp successfully blocked it from being released. Stapp and Kid Rock still aren't speaking.

I doubt he voted for Obama in 08.

(2,524 posts)Everyone had unreasonably high expectations of Obama that he could not reasonably fulfill, therefore it's necessary to turn back over the country to those who wrecked the economy.
How the fuck does this make sense?

(6,929 posts)There is also a video of him and Kid Rock getting serviced by groupies, while they are in the same room at the same time. Gross. You'll have to do a Google search for it. I watched it a long time ago and I don't want to revisit that nightmare.

(31,235 posts)I think it's intentional. Some people rode the president's coattails, like an accessory, to elevate their own profile, but that's so 2008. A tiny bit of erosion is to be expected, but this dude doesn't sound like a real mental giant.

Yeah, big loss for the Obama campaign there.

He doesn't have to worry about being out of work or being able to get medical care for your family or anything average people worry about.

(190 posts)Slowly but surely, Mittens is chiseling away at the highly coveted white-trash-I-only-hung-out-with-in-the-late-90's-for-their-weed-connections demographic. All he has to do is lock in Fred Durst and the guys from Papa Roach and it's game over for the Prez!
Seriosuly, what is with all these washed-up butt-rockers (Mustaine, Nugent, Kid Rock, Stapp...) going balls deep for the neocons and assuming they are somehow still relevant enough to make a cultural impact to the right?!
Perhaps it's because they are the only losers desperate enough for recognition to return the GOP's phone calls. Other than the ringing endorsement of the Nashville establishment, who among the glitterati is exactly chomping at the bit to extoll the virtues of trickle-down economics? It's bad enough that the RobMe-Cryan team shamelessly tried to co-opt urban culture the only way they knew how; by stealing K'naan's "Wavin' Flag" as a campaign anthem without his permission. Then there was that whole incident regarding the Bloodhound Gang...
I do love the sidenote, though, about the infamous Scott Stapp/Bob Ritchie totally-not-sex tape, given that they are both shills for the same group of chest-thumping "family values" hawks that tried to proclaim that Bill Clinton's engaging in the same behavior as Stapp and Ritchie was of the same multitude of "high crimes and misdemeanors" as Andrew Johnson.
