Agggh. CNN/Blitzer/American Idol-style hyped political coverage just plain sucks.
Blitzer's essentially yelling about how pressingly! important their latest! coverage is and the graphics on either side of his hype are as embarrassingly hyperbolic as well, imo.
Walter Cronkite would be ashamed of this reportorial hucksterism.
I just want the news of the Maine caucus results. They are a pretty minor side light to the whole process, but it's the news at this point. I like news.
It's going to be a long election season.
I'm going to find other timely sources as we go along. Little of the cable carnival serves news or journalism well these days.
