The whole line serves two purposes to my mind, one legit, the other cold, calculating, and panderific.

1) She's selling slow and steady change. To criticize Obama is to criticize slow the perception of incremental change. It ties in with her don't scrap ACA bit. This sounds fair to me. This is about the issues.

2) AA's on average love and take pride in the Obama presidency. She can exploit her chosen position to curry favor with that community. She needs the AA community to perceive her to be on their side. It's cheap, calculated and exploitative. After all, she was the original Obama critic.

12. Yes. There are a lot of things I have criticized Obama for, the biggest being taking the public

option out of the ACA from the beginning in order to attempt to secure the vote of either Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins.

Both voted against the ACA anyway.
