The democrats will vote according to how they interpret the Constitution.
Most of the republicans will pretend to do the same thing but just vote as conservatives.
One (Scalia) will get his marching orders and outline of the opinion he'll write from Opus Dei.
One (Thomas) will do whatever Scalia tells him to.

don't they risk excommunication if they don't?

Thankfully, the Church is no longer allowed to tie people to poles, douse them with gasoline, and light them on fire for disagreeing - which was their SOP for more than 1000 years.

Didn't we get rid of this bullshit about answering to the Pope when JFK got elected?

was the Grand Inquisitor before he made Pope.

Pope John Paul II appointed Ratz to lead the Inquisition on 25 November 1981. His official job tile was "Cardinal-Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith", but that's just the HR/PC friendly name for Grand Inquisitor.

has already been decided. Scalia penned the opinion. Aside from all of that, the powers granted under the ACA give the Secretary of HHS the authority to make such decisions. This issue never sees a courtroom. It is over with, dead, done, and decided.

No Catholic employer is going to have to pay for/provide contraception b/c insurers will be responsible for doing so now. Not to mention the fact that 28 states already had the same rule as what Obama first introduced and there hasn't been so much as a peep about that by them. This is a politically motivated attempt to drive a wedge between President Obama and Catholic supporters during an election year IMHO. He has, as far as I can tell, addressed the concerns that were initially raised, so where else exactly do they have to go with this?

They don't use separate insurance companies for their employees. So that is the basis they could challenge it.
