There is a great 1 hour show on Turner Classic Movies, Hollywood Goes to Washington....

It comes at it from all side, as far as I can see.

Good doc with clips from some of the great films of all time. I have just one complaint; too much commentary by Fred Thompson...ugh.

on edit: Missing were the great bio-pics: Lionel Barrymore as Andrew Jackson, Raymond Massey as Lincoln, Louis Calhern as Oliver Wendell Holmes, Alexander Knox as Wilson and so many others.
