(149,636 posts)I am proud to support Sherrod Brown.
I would love to see Mandel disappear completely, but given his family's history in Ohio politics, this is unlikely.

(60,536 posts)Brown's re-election, blasting the hell out of Mandel for the low quality campaign he is running. In the endorsement, the PD editors write Mandel had a meteoric rise, from City Counselor in upper middle class Lyndhurst ('burb of Cleveland? bedroom community of Cleveland?), ran for State Rep, then State Treasurer. Mandel is a high school grad that served in Iraq. he's somewhere between the ages of 29 and 32 (read different articles about him, reporting different ages).

(399 posts)They donated to Browns campaign! Saw a flier today calling him combat tested. According to men from his unit that I know he never saw combat! In the flier he is pointing his weapon at another Marine, and not holding it properly. Obvious photo shop! Being a retired Marine, this guy makes me I'll. I hate when they campaign in dress blues! Which is in his tv add!

(4,551 posts)I suppose if Brown really wanted to, he could expose some of the lies about Mandel's military background, but he probably doesn't want to go there.
According to Nate Silver, Brown has about a 90% chance of winning, so he's in pretty good shape.
