2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI don't see how any "feeling" person could watch this video and not vote for Bernie
You can feel the spirit within Bernie. He is NOT put-on. He is the REAL deal. You can feel that his HEART is in it. There is NOTHING anyone could ever
say, EVER, to make me change my mind about supporting this amazing and
inspirational man, our Bernie. God bless him and his family.

I'm unfeeling!! Yay!

(9,527 posts)To the question of what would make him change his mind about evolution. I think it's very sad to admit that nothing would change your mind. Not just because putting complete trust in somebody you don't know is inherently silly, but because you shut yourself off from learning if you refuse to question your own sacred cows.

(34,845 posts)...he is like the gentle Spring breeze that gives new life to the world. And, more than that, he has always been that Spring breeze!
DU sometimes reads like a constant stream of "I love you" letters and it is embarrassing and pointless.

(82,383 posts)Liberals usually let right wingers believe what they do, and that's OK, just don't step on my toes. Right wingers usually take the disagreement to mean that a person is "immoral" or some such thing.

(11,804 posts)When you state that no feeling person could watch it and not vote for him. There are some good and moral reasons to support Hillary Clinton. Your statement reminds me of some of the digs aimed at Bernie Supporters for being soft or indifferent to minority rights.

(687 posts)on this thread has anything to say about the video.
But they have clobbered the thread title, at least to their own satisfaction.
They never learn. Here is the answer to the Firewall argument, something that I regard as insulting and presumptuous in the extreme. Maybe African American voters will eventually vote for Hillary for whatever reason -- but here is the case for Sanders. What is the Hillary rebuttal?
I am interested in hearing why they think they will win the black vote. If the answer goes no deeper than quoting poll results -- I look at the actual totals in Iowa and New Hampshire, and compare them to the polls taken a month ahead of the vote, and I break into a big Berning Smile.
Nitram
(22,900 posts)You got that right!

(687 posts)that the election is not in the bag for your candidate.
And you never learn that your unearned arrogance is our best asset.
And, most important, you never learn that Sanders strength comes from issues and that is the area you militantly refuse to discuss.
Keep up with the clever snarking. It will cost you the election.

You think MLK was not really fighting for economic justice rather than just against segregation?
Other than just filling up space for YOUR SIDE, do you have anything of substance to say about King, his legacy or whether and how we should carry on with his work?
