2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumPeople are concerned about Bernie's increase in taxes, BUT...
How much does the average family owe now to service the cost of Bush's wars?
Also how much does the average family pay out yearly in corporate subsidies?
How much does the average family pay in extra unnecessary costs because regulations and laws have been written by corporations and special interest groups? (E.G., Medicare not being able to bargain with the pharmaceutical companies.)
I bet the average family would pay much less than they are paying now and would have a far greater sense of security if Bernie's plans are implemented.
Any thoughts?
Go Bernie!!!

That's real money deducted from my paycheck or lost in reduced wages (the part the company 'pays' on my behalf).
It makes no difference to me whether that money is paid to an insurance company, or whether it's paid out in taxes to the federal government for universal health care.
In fact, I have a sneaky suspicion that I would be paying less overall, if the money went to universal health care through payroll deductions.
