Related: About this forumWhere was Hillary the day Bernie was "the only white guy to show up" at a Voting Rights Meeting?
She was in Washington co-hosting in an African-American Leadership Summit, a day-long summit she co-sponsored with the Congressional Black Caucus, Nancy Pelosi and Tom Daschle.
For some reason, this never gets mentioned - in fact, Greg Palast and others have accused Hillary of being "MIA" in Florida - so I fixed it for y'all. You're welcome

Congressional Democrats Host Second African American Leadership Summit
More than 150 Top African American Leaders Attend
Washington, D.C. -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, Senator Hillary Clinton and Rep. Elijah Cummings, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) and other Members of Congress today hosted more than 150 key African American leaders at the Second Annual African American Leadership summit.
The daylong event, titled, "From Brown to the Ballot" was held on Capitol Hill and provided a forum for examining issues of critical importance to African Americans, such as education, jobs and the economy, voting rights and health care.
"Our theme, 'From Brown to the Ballot,' focused on two historic milestones in the fight for equality and opportunity -- the 50th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education and the 40th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act," Pelosi said. "These anniversaries are causes for celebration, but they are also a call to action - there is so much work still to be done."
Pelosi was joined by two African American community leaders from San Francisco, Eva Paterson and Clementine Clarke. Eva Paterson, once called "the civil rights leader" of San Francisco, is the Executive Director of the Equal Justice Society. Clementine Clarke is a member of the San Francisco Fire Commission and is an activist for women's issues in San Francisco.
Donna Brazile, Chair of the Democratic National Committee Voting Rights Institute, Dr. Mary Frances Berry, Chair, U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, the Honorable Rodney E. Slater, former Secretary, U.S. Department of Transportation, Dr. William Spriggs, Executive Director, National Urban League Institute for Opportunity and Equality, and Rev. Jeffrey I. Johnson, Youth Pastor, Empowerment Temple AME Church participated in a panel discussion on ways that African Americans have been affected by the Brown v. Board Education decision and the Civil Rights Act.
(FYI - the dateline on the press release says June 14, 2004, but the event was actually on July 15, the same day as the meeting that Sanders attended in Florida)

(89,252 posts)SAnders deserves Credit for attending it but some of his so called supporters trying to turn it into something anti hillary do him no favors.
but this does show why many members of the CBC have endorsed her.
<The Democratic Caucus of Congress has also asked Palast to appear Thursday morning before the hearings to explain the latest from his investigations of vote fixes and the Bush-bin Laden family connection. Palast will also be a panelist on a joint Minority Outreach Forum sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus and Senator Hillary Clinton. "I'm happy to speak to Republicans, too," said journalist Palast, "but I haven't received a request to drop by Dick Cheney's bunker.">

Candidates leading the polls, her paid shills from the DNC come out with more "Establishment" activities from the one that suffers the greatest from being "Establishment"
Let's delve shall we??
The OP points out that instead of going to an event where there could possibly be a change made, she instead sticks to her agenda and attends some other fund raising event along with Establishment dinosaurs Daschle, Pelosi and the CBC (The same CBC that couldn't be bothered to go to Florida to address the Crisis)
Again, the $hills for $hillary are so so close to the answer yet so far from it at the same time. They just cannot seem to find the Pulse of this election
