like on economic policy,like TPP or NAFTA, but they have to admit they were wrong and explain why they came to that new position. On issues like LGBT rights and Civil Rights for example... I take them at their original view. In the second instance they are against a group of people. In the first they could have just been ignorant to policy or the changing economic conditions forced them to relook at the issue.

BUT Human Rights do not change
