2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI find it, well, ironic......
to put it nicely that
Hillary Clinton can be raked over the coals for something a well admired feminist says.
But Bernie gets a free pass for something said on his behalf that was extremely sexist?????
Isn't it just a tad hypocritical??
Does this possibly show a double standard. A hell of a backwards one to be sure? But double standard none the less?

(5,946 posts)and I still think it is pretty bad when a woman tries to bully another woman to vote by gender after years of fighting people to stop. I, in my own bigoted way, never expected perfect wording from a rapper. The music business on the whole is completely misogynistic, not even specifying certain rappers who have proven to be bad on this, but the whole business.

(3,859 posts)I agree with the premise. While it will be a great thing when we elect the first woman president, that should not trump our need for radical, transformative change. He's no politician. His career is built on telling the truth in a tough way, but I love him because he really cares about people.
Gloria Steinem was implying that millenial women are weak minded, a la the old Connie Francis hit "Where the Boys Are." I was surprised by Gloria's comment, but it was off the cuff while being interviewed by professional jerk, Bill Maher. I still respect her. She was put in the awkward position of trying to explain away the female millenial support for Bernie. That is not something a Hillary backer can do gracefully, so she was in a no win situation. Still, Gloria is great. And so is Killer Mike.
