Sanders' Surrogates Are Berning Down The Clinton "Firewall"

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) continued his campaign's tour of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) at Morehouse College this past Tuesday. The capacity crowd at the Forbes Arena was extremely diverse in terms of race, age and gender, strongly representative of the larger Atlanta community. Many students at nearby HBCUs of the Atlanta University Center consortium were in attendance, including students from Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse College. There was even a large, vocal group of students hailing from Savannah State University who trekked over 4 hours from the Georgia coast to downtown Atlanta to hear the progressive Senator from Vermont speak on the issues of racial, social and economic justice.

Sen. Sanders' speech, which closely resembled the speeches he's given in other parts of the country, was preceded by a number of high-profile speakers, most notably Georgia State Sen. Vincent Fort, former Ohio State Sen. Nina Turner, and Atlanta-based Rapper/Activist Killer Mike. These Sanders surrogates are proving themselves to be instrumental players in spreading Bernie's message to the African American community, as well as the nation at large.

and i am not worried.predictors have not been able to get a grasp of this election on either side. he has the mojo

his numbers are going up, hers are going down.

the trendlines vastly favor him, and that is without any legal issues popping up.

Then he made final pushes in the first states, and ended up narrowly losing Iowa, which was a bit of a rabbit, and very handily winning New Hampshire, which was predicted back in October.

Now that the honeymoon is over, Super Tuesday is nigh, and Bernie is in the national spotlight where everyone knows his name, knows at least the broad outlines of his plan, and has seen all the "awesome lovable liberal grandpa" memes, where do we stand?

In Nevada, Bernie is projected to get 45% of the vote, give or take a few.

In South Carolina, 31%, give or take.

Arkansas, ditto.

Tennessee, ditto.

Oklahoma, 43%.

Michigan, 38%.

Virginia, 34%.

North Carolina, ditto.

Georgia, 26%.

He's putting up a fight, but right now my (somewhat pessimistic) guess is that Hillary will clinch in mid-May.

Some of the kids might stay home, watch TV and lovingly stroke their old Bernie buttons, but they've always been the least reliable demographic anyway. Moderates and minorities, they turn out for these things -- and moderates and minorities love Hillary.

What do the Blue States have to do with not being able to win the Red States in the General Election.
The Democratic Voters in Red States might be able to help Hillary win the Primaries in those states,
but she doesn't have a prayer of winning most of them in the General Election....
or are you new to Presidential Elections this year?

The reality is that very few states will be "in play" during the General.
