Susan Sarandon on why she supports Bernie: 'I don't vote with my vagina'

I feel this is insulting to female supporters of Hillary. I don't think Hillary's female supporters back her because they're voting with their vaginas.

-------------------------------------
Actress Susan Sarandon says she will not let her lady parts guide her voting.

“I don’t vote with my vagina,” she tweeted Wednesday, weighing in on Hillary Clinton’s bid for the White House. “It’s so insulting to women to think that you would follow a candidate JUST because she’s a woman.”

She continued, “HRC doesn’t rep my interests, @BernieSanders does. Simple as that.”

In any case, I forgot to use that nifty du function on you. After your startling unpleasantness to me regarding my disability, I meant to. I'll rectify that now.

Buh Bye

You probably should provide more evidence before making assertions like that.

It seems strange that at a time when the country has the opportunity to elect the first female president, the idea that gender might be a factor is considered shallow in some circles. Only in a sexist society would women be told that caring about representation at the highest levels of government is wrong. Only in a sexist society would women believe it. - (Jessica Valenti, a leading feminist author)

they're saying gender shouldn't be the primary reason for voting for someone. She even said in her very next sentence it's about the issues.

You knew that though.

I have been told specifically by older female (mostly white) voters, that the reason they are voting for her is not foreign policy or economics. It is her gender.

I find that insulting myself. I vote on policy, not color, or gender.

At this point it's best to ignore this class of people who want to come up with all sorts of reasons why many are voting for Clinton over Sanders.

At my polling location they use bubble forms. Voting with ones vagina would be very impressive.

question regarding Sarandon.

Of course Sarandon could have just said that "Hillary doesn't represent her interests", and that would have made the point effectively, instead of injecting an anatomical part. I guess Killer Mike and Sarandon believe it is important to focus on that.

We will see how well that sells

to the scolding and pressure we women get for not supporting Hillary's "historic" candidacy and the importance of having a chance to elect the first woman president.

Albright and Steinem aren't selling Hillary that well. Maybe you should be concerned about that.
