Berned Up?

Your reader MJ is right to be worried. I've seen results of a poll (and heard about another) done by a group here in DC that tested Sanders's support before and after likely lines of attack against him. The results are bad, real bad.

This is exactly the problem with Sanders as the nominee.

It's certainly not news to those of us supporting Clinton. We can pretty much guess what the ads would be, because we've seen them pointed at Hillary for years. Anyone not expecting them is incredibly naive. It's a big part of why I don't care about the donor rollback the DNC made recently. It will take an enormous amount of money to fight the attack ads, regardless who we nominate. We can kill CU and other dark money efforts AFTER we get through the GE.

It's the one thing she is very, very good at.
And neither Clinton would give up anything that assists in wielding power. That's who they are.

She wouldn't even commit to a hypothetical on CU as a litmus for SCOTUS!

I would need to know far more about the methodology of this experiment before being even slightly concerned.

The country has not yet been exposed to all of the ghosts in the closet of Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, or Donald Trump. Only those in the primary states have been exposed to only the *relatively* small differences between each of the GOP candidates. I can imagine that the same subjects, after viewing attack ads on Bernie Sanders and then seeing the attack ads against the GOP candidates that highlight their extreme anti-abortion, anti-gay, pro-Wall Street, anti-Climate Change views, etc. would calibrate right back to sanity.

to people about Clinton - just give FACTS with no commentary and the results are really bad.

Plus, you can word a poll to get any outcome you want.
