about the price of gas

back in '08 when i was discussing with my brother, trying to persuade him to support obama,

at one point he let a repub talking point slip and said...

next thing i know, you will be saying obama will get gas under 2 bucks a gallon!!!!

now clearly i didn't think that would happen but, it has happened

<shrugs>

just goes to show, good things still happen

In my area I have seen it as low as $1.49 9/10 ($1.499).
Basically $1.50 & I haven't seen prices like that in over 15 years.
That's "coincidentally" when Dubya took over.

Lower gas prices allow you to save more money & spend more money into the economy on other things.
Ask him what he thinks now & tell us what he said.

Now just wait to see what ELSE changes for the better once we get Bernie in that White House for 2016.
Your brother might just see Pink Elephants.

I wrote a post a few weeks ago called The truth is if we didn't elect Obama, we wouldn't have Bernie as President.
Bernie has revived that coalition Obama forged in 2008.
Pretty much the future of America in this coalition.

Every time you saw an Obama rally you saw a diverse mix of people young, middle-aged, old, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, & everything else in between...
...and you saw them eager, enthusiastic, & smiling.
WILLING eagerness, enthusiasm, & smiles not FORCED.

You look at the Republican side & you saw a narrower slice of America predominantly middle-aged & old, White with a few token members of other ethnic groups...
...and you saw them dour, downbeat, & angry.
They didn't look like the future of the country. There was no optimism there at all.
The energy comparison of the two camps couldn't be more opposite.

Bernie has recaptured what Obama put forth in 2008.
No he's not a smooth suave GQ-ready coverboy like Obama is.
He's rough around the edges as a politician without the proper practiced hand gestures.
He doesn't have catchy catchphrases he can pull out of a hat.
He's not a master speech machine like Obama is.
He's just a regular guy speaking the truth with conviction & passion.
And that's all you really need.

That's why he's gonna win.
That optimism that good things can happen is what drove Obama to the top & it will be the same thing that drives Bernie to the top as well.
The difference is once he gets in there it won't just stop at the campaign.
His track record proves that he will fight for the right cause no matter the position or opposition.

Bernie Sanders is the 45th President of the United States. Thanks Obama.
