NV Dems Statement on Reports of Republican Voter Registration Fraud

Please note, the College Republicans organization has some answering to do as they have already violated the cited law by encouraging such action:

NV Dems Statement on Reports of Republican Voter Registration Fraud

Las Vegas, NV – Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Roberta Lange released the following statement on reports Republicans may violate the integrity of the caucus process:

“After reviewing Nevada law, we believe that registering under false pretenses in order to participate in the Democratic caucuses for purposes of manipulating the presidential nominating process is a felony. The Nevada State Democratic Party will work with law enforcement to prosecute anyone who falsely registers as a Democrat to caucus tomorrow and subsequently participates in the Republican caucuses on Tuesday.”

Background:

NRS 293.800 states: “A person who, for himself, herself or another person, willfully gives a false answer or answers to questions propounded to the person by the registrar or field registrar of voters relating to the information called for by the application to register to vote, or who willfully falsifies the application in any particular, or who violates any of the provisions of the election laws of this State or knowingly encourages another person to violate those laws is guilty of a category E felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130.”

It's because Bernie's message is so appealing that he has this incredible crossover appeal. The Republicans just want the chance to vote the socialist platform. Much like most of the Republicans I know.

So long as they do not demonstrate ill intent by voting in the GOP Caucus on the 27th, not a thing will happen to those Republicans who choose to change their registration to Democrat and participate in the Democratic Caucuses.

The Nevada college republicans are going to cheat and vote in the Democratic caucuses for Sanders because he is the weakest possible Democratic nominee http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/nevada-republicans-eye-electoral-mischief-dem-caucuses

Ralston noted yesterday that “organized” Republican efforts to intervene in the Democratic contest are now underway. This includes College Republicans urging members to support the “socialist” in order to help the GOP candidate “prevail” in November, and coincided with work from a prominent conservative activist in Nevada encouraging Republicans to intervene with a similar message.

Here is the flyer that the Nevada college republicans are using to encourage Nevada college republicans to vote for the socialist

Again and again, it is clear that the GOP and their affiliates want Sanders to be the nominee because he is the weakest possible nominee

That press release is not even subtle about which candidate they are advising Republicans to vote for in the Dem caucus.
