Perhaps a dumb question, but: How can any NV caucus already have "final numbers"

when it isn't even 3pm yet in NV?

Aren't the caucuses open until much later, and can't people still be caucusing still
right now?

Admittedly, I have no idea how NV caucuses work, so help me out on this please.

Yep. I'm not sure what Bernie's exact plans is, but I know Hillary wants to see a 20 day early voter Lucinda Feb 2016 #6

...for that precinct.

They may have 2 counts if people are undecided or moving from one side to the other.

But once you're all in a room, it should be over within an hour, often less, sometimes a bit more.

So by 3pm in Nevada, it should be all over except the official reporting.

so everyone who want's to participate has to be there early, or be left out?

Got it. Well, at least they have it on Sat. instead of a weekday.

option.

I do know Bernie also favors more early voting too, just haven't any specifics yet.
We should be making it easier to vote for everyone.

If you're not in the door by then your out of luck.

Then you have to stand in a long line, in my case, 45 minutes, then you get assigned to your precinct room where viability is determined for the candidates — at least 15% of the vote.

Then the votes are tallied for each candidate, delegates assigned according to the percentage of the votes received, delegates and alternates selected for the county convention, and that's it.

It took me from 11am to 1:30pm.

I'm not a fan of caucuses. With the primary we had in 2012 because we had an incumbent, I was in and out of the primary in 15 minutes at the most. Now we still have to have a primary for all the down ticket races, and of course the general election in November.
