(15,189 posts)She thinks $12.00 is just fine. It doesn't matter though. 12 or 15 it's in about 5 years from now, so by then the minimum should be 20.

(10,493 posts)She supports you to fight for $15, $20, $30/hour.... The skies the limit, but really, she only supports $12.
Bernie supports $15/hr nationwide.

(14,807 posts)WHILE having an actual track record of saying something different. I believe her supporters are thinking that her brilliance in campaigning and mega funding from large Banks, Wall Street, Monsanto, etc....will somehow give her leverage to get them to work with her. History has proven that wrong. It is actually the opposite of that that happens. And if compromises are made to get something we will be outpaced by climate change and citizen unrest through the World while at a snails pace anything actually happens. We are no longer at that place in time upon this Planet to fuck around anymore.
And on the flip side there are those that support her that say Bernie cannot get anything done in the current climate of things. But this is more than just a run for President happening here.More than just trust and consistency. There will be more chance that things will change under his Administration because of the foot soldiers. At least he will not be tied up with the Courts.

(1,656 posts)Typical Clinton lie to get votes...
Here she says she supports 'Cuomo who wants to raise it to $15' - not $15/hour for everybody.
Then Clinton states "But I'm standing with the majority of Democrats in the Senate who have introduced a minimum wage increase to $12. "
QUESTION: One more question, will you support a living wage of $15 an hour, which is an issue that is very that is at the forefront for working families?
CLINTON: Absolutely. You know, I support a federal minimum wage and I support states going higher than the federal minimum wage. That's why I support Andrew Cuomo in New York who wants to raise it to 15. I supported what they did in L.A. And I supported what they did in Seattle.
But I'm standing with the majority of Democrats in the Senate who have introduced a minimum wage increase to $12. That would put it at the highest it has been since 1968. That would mean a wage increase for 35 million American workers, and one in four low-wage workers who are now just barely getting by.
And it would help so many women because the majority of minimum wage workers are women. So I'm absolutely in favor of it. I will do everything that I can. We'll set it because it's a floor. And then I will use the bully pulpit to convince states that believe they can go further to do just that.

(26,449 posts)All she said was she supports the union's fight. She does not mention her support of $12 and hour for a Federal Minimum. She's playing nuances here, rather deceitful in my opinion.
