2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBiden needs to call Romney a liar tomorrow night.
Mr. Biden can away with it, Obama probably cannot be so blunt. Mitt is a psycho bully who will say (and has said) anything to win. He needs to be dressed down in public and it needs to start with Joe Biden in front of the American People! Mock, minimize, and expose is the path to victory now. You take their perceived strength and you make it their weakness. Then they have nothing.

(4,528 posts)the proper framing is the question for Biden and Obama is "Do you have any principles?"

(4,528 posts)I am always framing bombs. By saying principles you are making people think which is your primary purpose. When they conclude by themselves it becomes way more powerful.

(2,404 posts)which I won't link to unless requested, as it is on redstate.com, where the author says Biden is a psychopathic liar, and that Ryan will have difficulty debating him because of it.
That made me snorkle. I suppose it is rather difficult to debate a chameleon, as President Obama found out in the first debate.
The hypocrisy knows no bounds. Of course, the author and his ilk don't see anything that comes out of Romney's mouth as a lie, so I suppose that solves their problem.

(74 posts)This debate might be more impactful than most realize. From the poll numbers this is not the certain reelection that it appeared to be a week ago. One big gaffe by Biden could push Romney ahead enough to make this a very tight race. On the other hand a screwup by Ryan could put the president back solidly in front. With Biden's history of cringeworthy soundbites and Ryan's debate inexperience, there might just be a real gamechanger during the debate. The timing of this debate adds a lot of weight, it could make Romney's bump into a wave or stop him completely.
