President Obama vows to bring the hurt in the next debate.

"Obama On Debate: 'I Was Just Too Polite'

In addition to refiguring his approach to and preparation for the next debate, part of President Barack Obama's task is to reassure a base in despair.

During a radio interview with Tom Joyner Wednesday morning, Obama tried to do just that, telling the hugely popular host that he understands he has to go for the jugular when he meets Mitt Romney again next Tuesday."

The operative word is not "Polite" it is "Conviction".

Look in to their eyes, call them out, and promote your belief fiercely.

Thing is, I am beginning to agree with the mental assessment on Romney. Where his changing positions is a function of a mental fracture rather than an outright lie. Where, he might believe what he is saying from one point to the next. Which is why Ann is worried about Mitty's mental health... Then again, I still call him a massive bullshitter, which in all intents and purposes is effectively what he is.

He could probably pass a lie detector test because he believes that whatever
is coming out of his mouth is truth.

It just astonishes me how the Repubs can find no one else but someone with
these character flaws--like Bushie boy--to run for President. Heaven help
us if Romney takes office.

People would vote for any one who speaks loudly and with conviction no matter how false, misguided and stupid it actually sounds.

that he is a pathalogical liar due to a mental defect or illness. Some sociopaths actually convice themselves what they are saying is the truth (of the moment). I was reminded today when I read the comments by the mother of one of the men killed in the embassay attack.

The story reiterated Romney's attmept to greet/meet her son at a gathering a while back before his death and he told the story of Romney coming up and introducing himself several times in a 30 or so minute period, looking at him as if he'd never met him before each time. Bizarre and strange, he said. There is a similar story about legislators in MA being offended because he seemed aloof all the time and when they'd meet briefly in the corridors, etc., he'd call them by the wrong title (senator vs. congressman) and wrong names. Yikes!

Described vividly in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (the book).
Obama should laugh at a lie Romney says, then just state the truth.
I think that's better than labeling Romney as a liar, that won't go over well.
You just present the evidence and let the viewer come to the conclusion that Romney is a liar.
And there's really no argument against laughter. It's a powerful weapon.

No need to go into a detailed explanation of why it's a lie. Just roll your eyes and tell the truth.
