Hillary certainly has her detractors, yet without a doubt, she is still highly recognized around the world as a woman of power. For that I must give her credit and if she beats out Bernie I will support her wholeheartedly against the nightmare of Republican choices.

She's admired for the fact that she's a woman with power. Not for her policy positions. She spent years pushing fracking and GMO in a world that doesn't want either, outside of corporate interests. She constantly advocates for wars and undeclared violent actions in a world that desires peace.

But because she's a woman in power, women around the look up to her in their own aspirations to gain power to run their own lives in a world awash in patriarchy.

And that has meant that they agree with many establishment positions.
We are in a new age where women will gain power on their own initiatives without having to fit in with the boys.

She's literally the least trusted Presidential candidate in the race, after Ted Cruz and DONALD TRUMP.

She is "recognised" - as in everyone know who she is, but she also has detractors worldwide, as does Bill.

In fact I'd suggest that she's more popular in America than in many other countries like Haiti and Morocco.

As for supporting her against Republicans... I refuse to vote out of fear... and no amount of scare tactics will change my mind. Hillary is extremely corrupt and I can't and won't support that.

paying plenty of attention.

And again, you shouldn't be voting out of fear - Americans have been largely doing that for decades and look at the outcome.

I refuse to do that.

And I refuse to deliberately vote for a grossly dishonest and corrupt politician.

It is a vote for the love of our country, our children, and the future of the planet.
I will not have Trump as President as long as I have any shred of a chance to stop him.

you're voting for Trump... hate to break that to you, but she won't stand a chance....

He's gonna crush her and you'll have to live in that world, and it's gonna be ugly.

And even if she somehow miraculously won, she's going to make Obama look like the least obstructed President in history. The GOP will start impeachment hearings within the first month. We'll have four years of the nastiest most partisan and hate-filled crap you can imagine.

Going into the White House with no one trusting her and over half of the country disliking her? As a lightning rod for the GOP, with ongoing investigations into her and a huge amount of baggage from her endless corrupt dealings... surrounded by lobbyists...

That sounds like a recipe for success?

She can barely get her supporters to show up at her events.

Vote for her if you want Trump.

when she is talked about.
I am concerned that a lot of Hillary hatred is merely misogyny disguised as political discussion.

that that is largely an excuse.

Many other women in politics (Elizabeth Warren springs to mind) have much higher trust numbers.

Excusing people's feelings about Hillary - because she's a woman - is what's known as the soft bigotry of low expectations.

1. She has elite academics.
2. She has great experience.
3. She had the inside track on getting the experience because of her partnership with Bill.
4. #3 doesn't seem to bother insiders, whom she has obviously impressed to get where she is.

The authenticity issue is wrapped around #3 and #4, but no one discusses this!

Lots of awful awful people have lots of experience.

Experience is not a good or bad thing on its own.

Having good judgement on the other hand is quite rare.

And having a bunch of your friends and colleagues - many of them also raking in millions from the same corporations and lobbyists - saying you should win isn't really an endorsement of anything. It's quite often self-interest. Or bias due to existing relationships.

Unimpressed.
