(AlterNet) BLM Activist Confronts Clinton About Racially Charged Remarks Because Corp Media Won't

Clinton says it's the first time anyone's asked her about saying "super predators need to be brought to heel" -- Why?

Excellent question!

:snip:

Today, Clinton’s dehumanizing language is jarring, if not outright banned in proper society, but some 20 years ago it was the cornerstone of right-wing criminal justice panic - a great deal of which the Clintons helped stoke. The comments, first unearthed by Buzzfeed’s Andrew Kaczynski and Christopher Massie in May of last year, have recently resurfaced and become something of a headache for the campaign around the margins. Author of “The New Jim Crow”, Michelle Alexander, cited them in her scathing critique of Clinton’s record on race, as did The Daily Beast’s Goldie Taylor in her run down of the Clinton's dodgy criminal justice past.

“I wanted to bring her to confront her own words,” Williams told The Huffington Post. “We did this because we wanted to make sure that black people are paying attention to her record, and we want to know what Hillary we are getting.”

Read more and watch videos of the racist comment then and of the recent encounter at the event:

Clinton knows who is likely to ask her particular questions, and she avoids those people. This is the benefit of having a large campaign staff. Controlling the message includes controlling the questions, and part of that is controlling the questioners.

at all speaks so loud I cannot hear what she says.

This is a democracy, yes?

Apparently not, yet she wants my vote.

The dissonance.
