What is Bernie's cause?

Today I read a post that accused Bernie's supporters about being for Bernie and not for a cause.

That is completely false. Never has there been a campaign in my lifetime that was more about a cause and less about a person.

THE CAUSE THAT BERNIE IS WORKING FOR IS DEMOCRACY.

That's it. I will say it again since it seems that a lot of Hillary supporters have missed it:

D E M O C R A C Y.

That is why Bernie talks about getting the big money out of politics, about returning our government to the people, about free tuition at state schools, about family leave, about single payer health insurance.

Studies have shown that wealthy oligarchs are actually running our country. Hillary represents those oligarchs.

The oligarchs want to avoid taxes. They pay millions for candidates' campaigns, candidates they trust and believe will help them avoid paying their fair share of the cost of keeping Americans healthy and our country secure.

Bernie represents the wishes of the people: DEMOCRACY.

So I hope this is clear.

In contrast, Hillary's campaign is about Hillary and about protecting the wealth of the oligarchs.

There is no substance to her platform. She has no unique ideas. She is just about Hillary, Hillary, Hillary, her rich friends and their interests - oh and being a woman.

And just in case, I also am a woman.

Hillary has no substance. Her platform has no substance. Her campaign has no substance.

It isn't hate that is fueling the Bernie campaign. It is the reality about Hillary.

What is one idea that Hillary has proposed that has anything new or exciting about it?

Just one.

If you support Hillary, why?

We Bernie supporters have asked that over and over of Hillary supporters, and we don't get any even half-way persuasive or decent answers.

There is one Hillary supporter who expresses him/herself with a series of Ha! Ha!s and thinks he/she is adding to the discussion.

That kind of represents the why and wherefore of Hillary's campaign. It's all about 'no, you can't.' One big, fat zero when it comes to exciting proposals or ideas. She's got nothing.

Bernie is full of ideas that are appealing and that will unite the country.

Bernie's cause once again is D E M O C R A C Y.

His campaign proposals are those the people want. Poll after poll shows it. His megacrowds prove it. Even in Oklahoma, a red state if there ever was one, Bernie attracts over 20,000 people.

Hillary has got nothing.

Guys, the hate meme is nothing.

If there is hate it's Hillary's hate reflected back on herself.

What kind of person runs for the presidency with no more ideas than she presents in her platform? A person who is about herself and not about the American people and democracy. That's who.

If you believe that will result in your candidate being picked, then there's no need for these screeds.

If you believe that will result in MY candidate being pickers, well, that's D E M O C R A C Y.

I fully expect him to campaign on his issues until the end, whether he has a path to victory or not.

Leonard Cohen wrote a song, "Democracy is Coming to America", which I heard in his concert "Live in London" that is altogether prophetic about Bernie's campaign:

5. education, health care, family leave, wages, all have a profound implication for DEMOCRACY

the less time people have to expend meeting their basic needs, the more time they have to participate in DEMOCRACY

the improved understanding of history and critical thinking skills that come from education equips people to participate in DEMOCRACY
