which actually puts Bernie farther away from the nomination after the Super Tuesday numbers come in. Bernie has to beat Clinton soundly to make up the distance Clinton will have after Super Tuesday

Proportional as far as I know. He is gaining on several March 1st states and wining others. There are over 30 states still to vote after March 1st. "Super Tuesday" isn't as "Super" as it was in 2008.
