Hard to see how this isn't going to be over pretty soon.

(3,623 posts)...but that doesn't mean Sanders will be dropping out "pretty soon." As long as he keeps getting money from his donors, he can keep campaigning. He does bring important topics to the discussion whether the Hillary people want to admit it or not.

(5,255 posts)When I said "over," I meant "functionally over." Sanders may not concede for some time. And I agree that he has welcomely pulled Clinton to the left, and I hope he continues to do so throughout the general election. It's becoming increasingly obvious that the country, after years of center-right nonsense, is moving to the left.

(3,623 posts)...it will be pretty clear very soon that he won't be able to win enough delegates over the rest of the primary to become the nominee. But I think it's good if he stays in as long as he isn't piling up a bunch of debt to campaign. Once that starts to happen, he needs to drop out.

(7,393 posts)I think if we become the party of extremism as the tea party has done to the GOP we are sunk. Both as a party (like the GOP) and a country.
We need to remain the sane political alternative to the extremist GOP.
