The Guardian asked the Democratic presidential candidate if officer-involved killings should be collected in a national database by the US government.

Sanders agreed: ‘When individuals die under police apprehension or custody, should that be mandatory?

Yes.’ He would also support legislation for mandatory reporting on officer-involved killings
