2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIs it just me, or do the networks seem to be incessantly covering the Republicans
and aren't even sparing a stray comment for the Democratic Primary?
You would think it is only the Republicans voting today!

(15,222 posts)But I think it's that the clown show that is the Republicans right now is more entertaining and gets bigger ratings.
Unless, of course, either Hillary or Bernie says the other one has big ears!!! LOL

(176 posts)Hence barely any discussion about the $42 million month Bernie just had and the 24-7-365 wall-to-wall Trump coverage...

RKP5637
(67,111 posts)the most ratings/revenue. Right now, the republican sideshow is great for entertainment. The democrats are too sane sounding and often the masses want to see a sports show like the republican cage fights.

(30,481 posts)How do you not cover this. It's truly funny. I just can't blame the media for this one. If they discuss democrats it's going to be in a negative light anyway.

(4,138 posts)All the public interest, and media coverage was on the Dem primary, and the Republicans were complaining about being shut out.
The Republican primary is full of twists and turns and surprises and drama. Ours is the playing out of what was pretty apparent over a year ago, if not longer.

(1,235 posts)And it's all horse race, no policy talk.
Listening to the one of the few mentions of Dems on MSNBC right now, AM interviewing DWS. They mentioned Gabbard for a minute, then the talk moved to why all the new voters coming out to vote were Republican ... AM claimed it was because the Republicans were more 'exciting'!!?? FFS ... when all the damn MSN talks about 24/7 is GOP, Trump, GOP, Trump, then no wonder the only new voters coming out are GOP ... no one would know the Dems are having a primary if it was left to MSN coverage.
