2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumClinton's excuse for mixing personal and official SoS emails is totally bogus...
The former secretary of state says the reason she used her personal email for work is because she didn't want to operate multiple mobile devices while on the road.
However, in one email from 2010 in which Clinton asks Huma Abedin how to use her new iPad. Clinton regularly used a Blackberry device.

I used to work for BlackBerry as an engineer and can tell you as fact: BlackBerry devices are designed such that both secure business communications (emails) can be separated by a firewall to a personal profile that can have all your personal apps, personal email account, etc. These are two different profiles on the phone, and BlackBerry phones are one of the only devices approved by the U.S. Government for official business due to there security.
The article states that Clinton used a BlackBerry device, so her excuse that she used the personal server for all of her personal AND official SoS emails so she wouldn't have to carry around multiple devices is totally bogus.

So, whatever....bring it on!
Same here. But I've been called that just for pointing out facts. Funny thing is, Hillary supporters can't see facts anymore.

Have you ever set up email accounts on mobile devices? Tell me about your experience.

If this investigation keeps drip, drip, dripping and ends up breaking the dam if and after HRC wins the nomination, we are all going to be in a world of hurt.
I can't understand how Clinton supporters aren't willing to understand the tremendous risk here.
On edit: You didn't answer my question. Have you ever set up multiple (or even one) email accounts on a mobile device?

(1,252 posts)The reasons I won't vote for her are:
Healthcare - I like Bernie's plan
$15 min wage - I like Bernie's plan
Tuition Free College - I like Bernie's plan
Climate Change - Bernie
Peace not war - Bernie
She is owned by her sponsors, Goldman Sachs
She is for and against TPP and Keystone Pipeline
and all of the other issues that Bernie talks about as she labels him a one issue candidate and smears smears smears him.
I can't stand how she steals his lines and his platform and tries to pass it off as her own.
Ultimately I don't trust her at all.
Bernie I do trust. Completely.
So the fact that Hillary got all mixed up in the email nonsense because she wipes hard drives with a cloth and such doesn't matter nearly as much as the other reasons I mentioned above.

(3,190 posts)But one of my issues with her that overrides everything else is TRUST!
I don't believe a single thing that comes out of her pie-hole.
On second thought, I would believe what she said if I were able to see those speech transcripts from Goldman Sachs, but alas...

(26,549 posts)She also has claimed she regularly traveled with her Blackberry, an iPad and a Kindle. She used that to emphasize how much she liked technology. Even made jokes about carrying around all these devices.
Why not set up the personal email on the iPad or Kindle?

(3,190 posts)The article states that she uses a BlackBerry device. You only need to carry one device to have both business and personal email accounts.

tex-wyo-dem
(3,190 posts)So, it's easier to go through the trouble of setting up a server in the basement of your house and routing all you official SoS emails through, plus take unbelievable risk at classified information being exposed on your personal non-secure server, than to take a few steps to switch between personal and "work" email accounts on your mobile device.
Utterly ridiculous.
My opinion: Hillary did this for several reasons, none of them good. She wanted very badly to maintain control over all her official communications, to the point of perhaps breaking the law.
nadinbrzezinski
(154,021 posts)and I do this easily.. not onerous at all. I have heard the blackberry is easier

(2,495 posts)in 2012! She's guilty of not using something that was still to be released.
So the example of what she should have used was not even readily available and buggy in its early stages.
I wonder how much other crap thrown at Hillary withers under any logical scrutiny.
