Does anyone think this trend in polling towards Romney will help get more Dems / Obama supporters out to vote? If so, could that have been a strategy?

I mean, Obama's debate performance was so uncharacteristic. Even though he's supposedly not a great debater, he typically brings much more energy, and his stance on that stage just before the actual questioning began was very upbeat.

Also, he has been very consistent at rallies to say things like "don't cheer (or boo), VOTE." I think he has been concerned about turnout - over-confidence, that his supporters were starting to think they didn't need to bother, since he was so far ahead in the polls.

And other than this one mis-step, the campaign has been so smooth, so disciplined.

Just wondering.

Even if not a planned strategy, hopefully it will have that effect, especially with a good debate on Tuesday.
