The Mittster is making noises again.
And the GOP Elite may give them his blessing to Stop Trump.

How about a lot of major Repuglican donors?
Holy cow!
An emerging Romney candidacy could really cut into Mrs. Clinton's fundraising!

perhaps you just wanted attention and you weren't being up front about why you were actually posting?
you've been here since 2001, do you really expect anybody to think a question about what's allowed during the general election is a sincere question when you've been through three of them here already?

(47,803 posts)Personally I find Mitt even more offensive than Trump. But he was my governor, so I have a "spejal feeling" for that opportunistic bastid.

(16,399 posts)If the GOP tries to derail Trump at the convention, they are cooked. Trump will exact revenge by going third party and taking his legions of mouth breathers with him.
Then again, if he's the nominee they are also cooked.

(30,099 posts)Trumps supporters should the GOP end his run. Their establishment seems
to be willing to lose the WH instead of risking a Trump presidency. They
fear him not due to his racist rhetoric, but what he'll do or not do
with their military interventions and their investment class voters;
( their bread and butter ).
It's not that he will be a guy who will bring sanity like a Sanders, but
they don't like the risks he poses. They are screwed either way, as
they have no viable alternative to offer his supporters, they have
to risk what that reaction will be not only from the Trump voters
but especially from Trump himself. He won Massachusetts for crying out
loud...the trend for a Trump presidency is going to be very difficult
to control. It is unknown what his supporters will do in defiance.
All in all, it is a good thing, their party is highly dysfunctional and
should fall apart for good.
