Obama leads in NC 46 - 45

Note, this poll was taken PRE-Biden Bump, showing romney's "blip" is over.

"President Obama leads Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the key swing state of North Carolina 46 percent to Romney's 45 percent, according to a new poll released Friday from High Point University (HPU).

The poll, which surveyed 605 likely voters from Sept. 29-Oct. 10. "

Which has been posted a few times.

1) it spans a long period of time so it might not gie the best snapshot of what's going on right now.

2) the poll explains that Romney did better than the President in the dates following the debate.

Thanks for posting good news though!

A closer look at the data, however, suggests a shift related to the first presidential debate between Obama and Romney that occurred on Oct. 3. Prior to the debate, 49 percent said they would vote for Obama and 40 percent chose Romney. After the debate, 49 percent of those surveyed chose Romney compared to 43 percent for Obama.

...I doubt Obama had a 9-point lead in NC. The poll looks like single-day polling.

The mid Sept poll showed Obama 48, Romney 44
