(26,549 posts)says Clinton supporters are driving them way.
It's a huge problem that all Sanders supporters, and Sanders himself, must address if Sanders supporters are driving Clinton supporters away.
Since this is the former, we're wrong to have it affect us in any way.

how their supporters behave have zero to do with how i view the candidates, unless they are engaging the issues.

(45,984 posts)If Mrs. Clinton appears to many Democrats and independents as not worthy of one's vote, that's her own doing. It has nothing to do with the current delegate count or how the corrupt MSM reports it.
We Sandernistas don't put any stock in anything the MSM says and we know that no superdelegate is committed until he actually votes at the convention.
I think Hillary Clinton will make a poor president. I think that Donald Trump will make a disastrous president. I've voted for the lesser of two evils before, and I will this time, too. However, since I don't think Mrs. Clinton would want me ringing doorbells or making phone calls for her feeling about her as I do, between the convention in August and the election in November I will just sit down and shut up.
I hope the folks in Camp Weathervane are happy with that.
After the election, I will return to railing against the failed neoliberal/trickle down/really fucked up policies that benefit Wall Street and impoverished the rest of us since it was called Reaganomics. I am willing to put my body on the gears of the odious machine in order to grind it to a halt, and I will join any suitable assembly that promotes that cause.
Power to the People.

NEWSFLASH: Most of the US is not the Deep South, and Sanders is winning outside of Dixie
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=1403548
Outside of the Deep-Red Southern States, Sanders is winning. By wide margins, Sanders has won 5 of 8 states outside of Dixie, and Clinton's 3 wins have been dirty and very narrow:

(26,549 posts)Along the lines of "Here's the delegate score." (Discussion about the delegate score). "And here's how the superdelegates affect that score." (more discussion, usually including the fact that superdelegate votes are not "locked in"

(6,474 posts)This year the Super Delegates (mostly Democratic officeholders) are stating in no uncertain terms-DO NOT put a Democratic Socialist at the top of the ticket. Guess what so are the voters and especially registered Democrats who support Clinton in OVERWHELMING numbers

(6,474 posts)look for especially elected officials in purple (representing Obama). By this time Obama had plenty of elected Democratic officeholders wanting him to run at the top of the ticket. Sanders has only a handful and he never will get Democratic Officeholders to run a ticket with a Democratic Socialist at the top

(6,474 posts)This is not a federal election-its the election of a private political party. There is no constitutional right to vote in a particular party. Here's the truth-if only Democrats voted then Clinton would win 2-1. She represents Democratic values-not the Greens or Naderites or Libertarians, Socialists or third party liberals. The Democratic Party as evidenced by its elected officials and officeholders has a right to run based on Democratic Party principals. Any voter has a right to vote for a candidate of any party he wishes including for example the Libertarians, Green or Socialists. you have a right to reject the Democratic Party if you wish-but you don't have a right to dictate the principals of how a private political party should be run. When a segment of a voting block doesn't feel a Party represents their views they can rally around the views of a new or different Party. When 98% of officeholders are supporting Clinton then its quite clear that the vast majority support the Democratic values of that candidate-not Bernie Sanders-which should not be a great surprise since Bernie himself considered himself a Democratic Socialist-not a Democrat

(4,211 posts)She doesn't HAVE democratic values! She's republican lite! She's pro corporations, and fuck the little guy!
Democratic values, my fuzzy-backside... Christ.
Is it a democratic value to capitulate to republicans when they want a war, without even so much as reading the report about it?
Is it a democratic value to take money from foreign interests in exchange for special favors while being SoS?
Is it a democratic value to take money from banks... for any reason at all, given the KNOWN expected quid-pro-quo?!?!?
Is it a democratic value to blatantly use all manner of dirty tricks to manipulate and stifle voter turnout?!?!?
The answer is an obvious HELL NO!!!
Here's a whole host of other reasons she lacks any form of democratic values:

Unless you're calling outright corruption, gamesmanship, manipulation, willingness to accept bribes, and corporate collusion, "Democratic Values" You're WAY off base!

(6,474 posts)after all you are supporting a candidate that only became a Democrat months ago. In fact, among registered Democrats Clinton beats Bernie 2-1. Whose not in touch with the majority of the Democratic Party? Are you kiddin' me? DU is not reality

I do.
I am voting for BERNIE SANDERS !!!

(22,380 posts)The MSM is now paying attention to Sanders by saying: "He is awash in money"
If that's how they chose to categorize him, that works for me. Let's keep him afloat. It does not take much from you, but collectively we can make it happen

(8,175 posts)I just automatically delete the super delegates. It was very encouraging to see Bernie's numbers getting closer and closer to Hillary's as the night went on.
And one thing I won't do any more is let the pundits and news crews dismay me. They are all biased.

(919 posts)I was at the rally last Monday night at the Milton (MA) High School. Bernie said that he keeps hearing that he's thinking too big. His reply was great: "If you ask for a half a loaf of bread, you'll get crumbs. But, if you ask for a whole loaf of bread, maybe you'll get half a loaf." He's right. Vote Bernie.
Beacool
(30,249 posts)That does not mean that Sanders should be pushed out. He has a right to stay in the race until June. It's his prerogative. If it becomes evident that there's no way for him to catch up on delegates, the party may ask him to tone down his attacks on Hillary and pivot to attacking Trump, but the party leadership won't ask him to drop out. His voters and the enthusiasm that he has generated will be needed in November. When I sincerely hope that we will be united to defeat Trump.

(168 posts)The American Public certainly has a good idea of what happened & even though we don't have details, there's enough to at least have an opinion.
But I would guess the Establishment knows already what the numbers would be, since their Money is now completely on her because of the downfall of "Little Marco" & they would like to keep it quiet.
The Young Turks did a piece on this yesterday & brought up a scenario of a "what if" Bernie was under FBI Investigation & the reaction in turn, of the MSM; I wish someone would post that clip....
