Who won the VP debate?

David Brooks, one of that increasingly rare breed of reasonable and moderate Republicans, felt that Biden won the debate, but he also said something interesting. He said that Ryan, who is 42 years old, probably looked better to people who were raised in the modern age of tv and internet as opposed to those who were raised earlier. He felt Ryan's style would play better to a younger audience and that Biden's style to an older audience. So, this poll attempts to see if there's a difference in the way different generations perceived that debate.

1. I don't think you are going to get a variation in results here at DU that you are looking for ...

because we are all DEMOCRATS and we're not going to say that the Ryan did well.

In order for your poll to work you would probably have to poll independents and/or undecideds.

Veteran, twenty-six years old and formerly registered as a Republican. Registered as a Democrat since 2008. I do however vote across party lines. Volunteer for OFA and phone bank.

While I do vote for some Republicans, I don't post items on them to DU. I also don't get worked up over the polls that suddenly say my POTUS isn't doing well.

Just saying, not all of us newbies are trolls if we think Ryan's performance wasn't abysmal.

shit, offer absolutely ZERO concrete data points on how they're gonna get there, and just hope a complicit media and enough low-information voters will be suckered long enough to get them to the election before someone says "what the fuck do you mean, you're gonna give everyone a 20% tax cut- that's absurd"

ARITHMETIC.

4. But you are polling DUers of all ages that are DEMOCRATS on a Democratic Website :)

That is not how to do a real poll.

The only result of your poll that I see is that you are finding out how old we DUers are

Have fun :hi;

My poll does assume that everyone here thought Biden won the debate, but the poll was about the degree to which he won.

I bet if I had posted a similar poll after the Obama Romney debate, there would have been a range of answers. While everyone here supports Obama and Biden pretty much, there's a range of feelings. Try giving people a little more credit.

Ryan looks really scary, especially if he was the new stand-in POTUS. Really though, after fifty or so you tend to get really decisive and picking winners becomes much easier.
