As Governor, Romney Spent All Or Part of 417 Days Out Of State

If you’re counting, that’s more than a year out of his four-year term. He spent time at his various residences, like his lakeside home in New Hampshire (pictured, with sons Craig and Josh).

More than 70 percent of that time was spent on personal or political trips unrelated to his job, a New York Times analysis found.

Another George W. Bush, perhaps even worse!

George W. Bush, during his eight years in office:

Days at Camp David: 487 days (149 trips)
Days at Texas Crawford ranch: 490 days (77 trips)
Days at Kennebunkport Compound: 43 days

Total: 1020 days, more than 1/3rd of his presidency. Bush set the record for most vacation time taken by president.

And that does not include days spent elsewhere.
