Military Endorsements Hold Greater Benefits for Democrats, Study Finds
By PETER BAKER
As the presidential campaign focuses increasingly on President Obama’s performance as commander in chief, a study released Monday finds that he benefits from endorsements of retired military officers more than Mitt Romney does, particularly with coveted independent voters.

Support for Mr. Obama increased by nine percentage points among independents who were told by surveyors that most members of the military and veterans backed him, compared with those who were not told. Among independents who said they did not follow foreign policy news closely, the president’s support increased by 14 percentage points.

More good news from the military. Guess I'm on a theme tonight ...

I have met several of them online.

I wish more military folks knew how Romney is just using the military as a prop whenever he goes to Virginia and speaks in front of a military background, college, battleship etc.

Romney has never served in the military, and had the gall to argue in FAVOR of Vietnam, and then ran off to France while thousands of other men of his generation went over and got blown up. Romney, like Bush, just happened to have a well-connected political father who kept him out of harm's way through multiple deferments.

Romney's 5 sons have never served in the military either.
