Top UN Advisor: Hillary A Danger to World Peace, Lied about UN Treaty, Ruined Kofi Annan's Peace Plan in SyriaHillary Clinton and the Syrian Bloodbath
by Jeffrey D. Sachs
At Milwaukee Debate, Hillary Claimed:
But I would add this. You know, the Security Council finally got around to adopting a resolution. At the core of that resolution is an agreement I negotiated in June of 2012 in Geneva, which set forth a cease-fire and moving toward a political resolution, trying to bring the parties at stake in Syria together.
Except, Hillary was blatantly lying:
Dr. Jeffrey Sachs notes:
Clinton's role in Syria has been to help instigate and prolong the Syrian bloodbath, not to bring it to a close.
In 2012, Clinton was the obstacle, not the solution, to a ceasefire being negotiated by UN Special Envoy Kofi Annan.
It was US intransigence - Clinton's intransigence - that led to the failure of Annan's peace efforts in the spring of 2012, a point well known among diplomats.
Despite Clinton's insinuation in the Milwaukee debate, there was (of course) no 2012 ceasefire, only escalating carnage.
Clinton bears heavy responsibility for that carnage, which has by now displaced more than 10 million Syrians and left more than 250,000 dead......

(3,982 posts)She is a full blown war hawk as has allied with the NeoCons when it suits her.
She sees "regime change" and covertly destabilizing countries as a first step tactic.

(25,699 posts)Is that he offered her SecState as part of a "gift package" in order to keep her from running as an Independent in 2008, or at least to secure Clinton resources for his General campaign and first term.
She had absolutely no qualifications for the position.

(3,687 posts)It's just one failed judgment after another with her - and people died
Her failed judgement includes other arenas however like selling the Democratic Party to the Koch Bros for example, and allowing Wall Street to buy her

It seems apparent that is part of the Top Secret-Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) program emails we won't be allowed to see, and which her uncertified private server compromised.

(1,000 posts)Take whatever craziness the GOP is having success fooling the rubes with, but turn it up to 11 and run as a Democrat. Now Republicans can't out-Republican her because she's got better cred as a warmonger-corporatist than what the GOP has on offer.
That's how we ended up with the mass-incarceration policies of the first go with that family. Remember the "put 100,000 cops on the streets" line Bill used to outmaneuver the GOP on law and order issues?
How many people pointlessly went to jail since, so that the Clintons would have a platform for pathological ambition?

(12,296 posts)... not that Syria and South America are directly related, but when he said the US has no business overthrowing South American governments & she shot the laser beams of disgust at him across the stage, sorta' said it all for me.
Military Intervention - South America, the Middle East, where ever - is the one platform plank that gets a big 'Yes we can' from her & her donors.

(25,699 posts)Her first impetus towards a crisis is use of violence. her response to reform movements in other nations is to assist in crushing them (Egypt, Bahrain) or overthrow them if they succeed (Honduras.) When she looks at the current situation in Syria, all she has to offer is an idea that would lead to a hot war between the United States and Russia. Can you fucking imagine! And her threats to "Obliterate" Iran, a state that the Obama administration has been trying to thaw relations with for the majority of his second term.
A Clinton presidency would throw us backwards in global diplomacy, away from Obama's achievements, and toward something more befitting the Bush administration.
