Note well that his name has been conspicuously absent from the race so far.

Romney is burning through millions. Do you think he'll willingly just give up what he had to buy? Its a premise that made Michael Steele guffaw last night.

No, they'll wait till 2016 when the economy is fine, and then try to drive it into the ditch again, providing they win. But who is going to beat Hillary? No one.

...thinking that they'd rather keep fucking things up in Congress and then have a better shot at electing a reactionary extremist in 2016.
Who's going to be our guy (or gal) in 2016? Never too early to start planning ahead.

Remember...the convention is in August and then its a mad dash for the next two months to Election Day. You need your organization in place, your money allocated and your boots ready to hit the streets. No way can you do this with a strange or "mystery" candidate at the top of the ticket. Nominating a Jebbie would alienate not just the Paulbots (who will be pissed no matter what happens) but surely would lead to a walk out by Noooot and Rectorum's supporters. They all smell blood and having a Crispy Christie imposed on them or Goofy Daniels will not go over well.

It's getting late now for an unknown to get "annointed" and be able to pull this inept and corrupt party together. This doesn't mean it can't or won't happen, but if it does it'll be political suicide...

But to answer your question, pick a governor, any governor, doesn't matter.
