Why Many Bernie Supporters BELIEVE Bernie Isn't Over...

This is a reply I made earlier today and I have renewed energy now.

Talked With TWO Bernie Groups For Several Hours Today...

Have to say THE FIGHT IS STILL STRONG! And there's a general consensus that I've thought about for quite some time now. WE just do not understand why it is that Bernie has rallies that attracts many thousands of people AND THAT he continually raises money after each election. AND yet for some reason this phenomena doesn't transfer over to voting. It's hard to explain WHY. He still has THE ENTHUSIASM going for him, his positive numbers are so much better than Hillary's, she's viewed as a person who will change her position simply to garner support and most importantly she's been shown to LIE so much of the time. After each lie we see evidence showing this within hours or less. Too many people simply don't really have confidence that she'll govern the way she says she will. Too many people have no doubt she's going to RULE much differently than what's she hawking about now. She's giving "Bernie" speeches these days and her supporters aren't even able to recognize this simple fact.

Hard to mesh this against her ability to win. None of us have a good answer to this, BUT there's something else we've begun to feel and the reason we WON'T stop our support and will work for Bernie. There IS A FEELING, whether it comes out or not that something big could very well happen that will UNVEIL the real Hillary. Bernie keeps talking about the transcripts and this is an issue that hasn't gone away and I think there MUST be something there. The question is WHY? There's almost 7 months to go.

It's OUR job to keep donating and supporting Bernie. This is no time for giving up because he has done something NONE of our current elected officials have had the cohones to do for many, many years. Even if he doesn't become the nominee HIS MESSAGE and HIS MOVEMENT is very much ALIVE!

He may not have won yesterday, but he still gained delegates and he's still says HE'S NOT GOING AWAY!

Just wanted to relate what I've heard so far today and it's helped me feel SO MUCH BETTER! Keep Feelin' The Bern, we may not HAVE TO vote for a person most of us feel WON'T represent what we feel deep in our bones.

There IS A REASON BERNIE has come to us now. Maybe it's as simple as resurrecting DEMOCRACY in America! We aren't giving up, WE STILL BELIEVE!

You can add your replies if you want, but I only wanted to put this out here.

Some think something about Hillary will hit the fan, but mostly there's a feeling that we've reached a moment in time that can't be stopped.

Does it really make sense that he's really lit such a fire all over and it just fizzles out?? It just doesn't add up. Hard to believe this kind of momentum just dies after one night. The lights just go out??

MSM has tried to manipulate a country for so long and maybe people are beginning to finally SEE it. I guess some will say it's wishful thinking, but it doesn't seem like that. Nothing about this election is like a anything most of us have ever seen.

Just feel the need to pass this on because MSM says he's DONE, put a fork in him! So much damage for so long has left it's mark.

Let's just go FORWARD and see what happens.

With Bernie, "We're goin' to the end of the line... "

On a darker note, this feels metaphorically like the abusive relationship the progressive "FDR Dems" are in, at least for now, with the current DLC/Third Way neolib establishment.

Resolving such relationships takes going through a process, which right now many are in varying stages of... some just catching on and some well along into it. I do believe that a solution will come from it.

The Hillary you have all invented does not exist. You have been fighting a fantasy in your minds. More people are aware of this than come to Bernie rallies. My guess is even most people at Bernie Rallies are aware of this to.

You have run us all off this board and what has it gotten you. We are back and we are the winners.

The campaign you all have waged on line and else where has turned more people off than have joined you. You have set out to attack people like John Lewis and Elizabeth Warren and many journalists and talk show hosts. They all talk about it daily, I hear it daily. I read about it daily.

You have destroyed your Bernie you have no one to blame but yourselves.

Hillary is a known quantity. She would do much better defending her real positions than using progressive words and trying to gain votes while obscuring her true intentions. Her credibility gap is comparable to the Grand Canyon.

We know the Hillary we are fighting and oligarchy who stands behind her.

Many of us remember those 8 years extremely well, and they were terrible years. There was a general malaise that settled over this Country that seemed permanent. Everyday seemed to bring a different soap opera. After some time passed, I began to wonder if I would make it through a second term. It was that bad. And I vividly remember the things that made it so bad, but I will not reiterate the list because I am so done with those things. I cannot image going through another eight years with the Clintons. And when you think about it, nothing has changed except they are not in the White House. But the constant soap opera still plays on ....

Climate change and clean energy

Making America the world’s clean energy superpower and meeting the climate challenge.

Hillary will:

Create good-paying jobs by making the United States the clean energy superpower of the 21st century.

Set national goals to have 500 million solar panels installed; generate enough renewable energy to power every home in America; cut energy waste in homes, schools, and hospitals by a third; and reduce American oil consumption by a third.

Lead the world in the fight against climate change by bringing greenhouse gas emissions to 30 percent below what they were in 2005 within the next decade—and keep going.

"I won’t let anyone take us backward, deny our economy the benefits of harnessing a clean energy future, or force our children to endure the catastrophe that would result from unchecked climate change."

Hillary, NOVEMBER 29, 2015

Climate change is an urgent threat and a defining challenge of our time—and Hillary Clinton has a plan to tackle it by making America the world’s clean energy superpower, taking bold steps to slash carbon pollution at home and around the world, and ensuring no Americans are left out or left behind as we rapidly build a clean energy economy.

2015 was the warmest year on record—and 15 of the 16 hottest years on record have come just since 2001. Already, American families are seeing the impacts of climate change with their own eyes, from the record drought in California to the frequently flooded streets of Miami and Annapolis. While climate deniers continue to ignore settled science because it does not suit their political agenda, and climate defeatists doubt America’s ability to meet this challenge, Hillary knows that America is fully up to the task.

Already, U.S. carbon pollution has been cut to its lowest level since 1995. Wind power has expanded three fold and solar power 30-fold since 2008. But that’s not enough to tackle the climate challenge, meet America’s carbon pollution reduction goals, or to compete for the $13.5 trillion of global clean energy investment unlocked by the historic international climate change agreement reached in Paris. We can and must go further.

That’s why on day one, Hillary will set bold, national goals that will be achieved within ten years of her taking office:

Generate enough renewable energy to power every home in America, with half a billion solar panels installed by the end of Hillary’s first term.

Cut energy waste in American homes, schools, hospitals and offices by a third and make American manufacturing the cleanest and most efficient in the world.

Reduce American oil consumption by a third through cleaner fuels and more efficient cars, boilers, ships and trucks.

Hillary’s plan is designed to deliver on the pledge President Obama made at the Paris climate conference last December—without relying on climate deniers in Congress to pass new legislation. Her plan will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 30 percent in 2025 relative to 2005 levels and put the country on a path to cut emissions more than 80 percent by 2050. Her approach will catalyze new investment and economic opportunity across the country, create hundreds of thousands of new jobs, reduce energy bills and save families money, make our country more secure, and protect our families and communities from pollution.

As president, Hillary will:

Defend, implement, and extend smart pollution and efficiency standards, including the Clean Power Plan, which will prevent 3,600 premature deaths and 90,000 asthma attacks annually, and efficiency standards for cars, trucks and appliances that are already reducing energy costs for American households and businesses by over $75 billion per year.

Launch a $60 billion Clean Energy Challenge to partner with states, cities, and rural communities and give them the tools and resources they need to go beyond federal standards in cutting carbon pollution and expanding clean energy. The Clean Energy Challenge will also help ensure all Americans share in the benefits of a clean energy economy by encouraging solar and energy efficiency investments in low-income communities.

Invest in clean energy infrastructure, innovation, manufacturing and workforce development to make the U.S. economy more competitive and create good paying jobs and careers. Hillary has a comprehensive plan for making existing energy infrastructure cleaner and safer, unlocking new investment, and forging a climate compact with Canada and Mexico to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate clean energy deployment across the continent.

Ensure safe and responsible energy production. As we transition to a clean energy economy, we must ensure that the fossil fuel production taking place today is safe and responsible and that areas too sensitive for energy production are taken off the table. Hillary knows there are some places where we should keep fossil fuels in the ground or under the ocean.

The Arctic is a unique treasure. Given what we know, it's not worth the risk of drilling. -H
— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) August 18, 2015

Reform leasing on public lands. As president, Hillary would reform fossil fuel leasing and significantly expand clean energy production on public lands, from wind in Wyoming to solar in Nevada.

End wasteful tax subsidies for oil and gas companies. Oil and gas companies have enjoyed billions in tax breaks for decades. Hillary would end those wasteful subsidies and invest in clean energy.

Cut methane emissions across the economy. Hillary would cut emissions of methane, a powerful greenhouse gas, by 40-45 percent and put in place strong standards for reducing leaks from both new and existing sources.

Revitalize coal communities. Building a 21st century clean energy economy will create new jobs and industries, protect public health, and reduce carbon pollution. But we can’t ignore the impact this transition is already having on coal communities. Hillary’s $30 billion plan to revitalize coal communities will ensure coal miners, power plant operators, transportation workers, and their families get the respect they deserve and the benefits they have earned; invest in economic diversification and job creation; and make coal communities an engine of US economic growth in the 21st century, as they have been for generations.

"In spite of the strongest possible scientific consensus about what climate change means for our environment, economy, health, and future, there are still some who deny the facts. They’re intent on obstructing progress. We can’t let them win this fight. We have no choice. There is no Planet B."

18. But You Aren't THE WINNERS! We Still Believe & No Matter What
Thu Mar 17, 2016, 02:08 PM
Mar 2016

you want to call it, what the Clintons have done and what they're offering IS on the way out. EVEN IF Hillary should get the nomination it's pretty apparent that Bernie HAS BEEN the REAL CHANGE. Much more so than Obama ever was or has been.

I have two millennial grand children who I see ALL the time, they come over and talk to me and I hear them. They ARE the new generation that's emerging and they tell me straight up they REALLY, REALLY don't like her. They don't see her as someone they want to follow. I'm a Boomer from the SAME generation and age group as Bernie. I KNOW that we really DID change things!

We had our Revolution back then. From the time I was in high school which was moving away from the "Happy Days" syndrome, we began to see we had been LIED to for many years. Soon smoking dope, dropping out, the music revolution began morphing into real Liberalism. There was a REVOLUTION and the upheaval in fact turned bloody in many cities around this country! NIXON DID get elected and it then GOT WORSE!

I honestly don't think this movement can be stopped, my grand kids KNOW they've been lied to and they are looking for a different way. You can say you've WON, have at it. Winning an election doesn't mean YOU WIN! What I've come to realize is that the Hillary supporters are unwilling to look forward and are holding onto OLD ideas that are in NO WAY Progressive. You aren't going to be able to stop this and THIS is why Bernie EXCITES thousands and thousands of people.

IF America is to really SHINE again, it needs to throw away THE PAST and move forward! Even The Hillary Logo sends a negative message, just like the very boring Logo that was designed as THE NEW DEMOCRATIC Logo. A logo is supposed to "speak to and say something," it doesn't! It looks like a circle with a D in the middle like a bulls eye! An H with an arrow through it, pointing to the RIGHT says OOPS, we ARE the right wing of the Party.

Upon reflection over night and after having my discussion with Bernie supporters, maybe what we're REALLY thinking and saying is BERNIE REALLY MUST STAY & BE SUPPORTED because of these facts! POWER BROKERS & most of our DEMOCRATIC Leaders will be dragged along or THEY will be OUT! Bernie may be 74, but he's almost as young as my grand children, he's showing them a NEW way and he's exciting them!

I think too many people aren't giving the millennials the the credit they deserve. They're smarter than you think and they have a real work ethic. Thankfully my daughter had the forethought to come to me when they were babies and ask if I would help contribute to their college funds. My husband & I have never been anything but middle class, he worked at Verizon WITH a Union, I worked at loan companies and typesetting because I got married to keep my husband from being drafted and didn't go to college! Without the Union we would never had made it!

My grand son graduated from FSU and is working and pursuing his Master's in Computer Programming at the same time. My grand daughter who will soon finish undergraduate school will go to UF to get her degree in accounting. Even WITH the college funds they have gotten, close $100,00 each, they both have school loans to pay off! YUUUUGE ISSUE for them, PLUS Climate Change. And right now BOTH of them are living at home because they can't afford to move out. My grand daughter has had to save her money so she can move into a place with TWO room mates!

What MY Generation & Their Generation have so much in common is that I was part of the last REVOLUTION, THEY will soon begin THE NEW REVOLUTION!

NO! With Hillary you might be able to say you win on paper, but YOU haven't and you NEVER will!

People who've been following the imaginary Pied Piper for too many decades are seeing their numbers declining. The Establishment is dying, it's just a matter of when it will die and how fast it can be done.

Smarmy (to gush, to slobber) Smugness (self righteously complacent) are two words that come to mind when I read your post.

Feel The Bern' we're MOVING ON!
