2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHow many people thought six months ago that Bernie would have 45% support nationwide???
Answer: practically nobody. I'm even amazed how his numbers just keep climbing.
And we have a few posters saying it's time for Bernie to drop out? Now?? LOL!!!
Bernie is only a few percentage points from being the frontrunner. The next few weeks are going to be quite a wake up call for complacent Hillary supporters.

OP
33%, 49%, 49%, 41%, 43%. That's what Bernie got on 3/15. What's the average? You do the math!

think it could happen.

I have never seen anyone do what he has done nor the way he has done it.
He's honest, decent, principled - a wonderful man.

(19,877 posts)3. He doesnt. He has 45% of Democrats nationwide based on a poll of 400 people.

(9,841 posts)5. Nobody knows for sure. But 45% is probably close to the truth.

(7,393 posts)4. He has 40% at best, which is not enough to win the nomination
He is 20 points away from the frontrunner. Not a "few percentage points."
Congratulations on your moral victory, but we still are not going to nominate a socialist.

(7,393 posts)7. And 9 days ago the same poll had him at 40%
And the election results to date have him at 39% of the popular vote. I'd say he is running at about 40%. And he needs 60% to mount a comeback.
