Politico: Warren won't say whether Clinton should release Goldman Sachs transcripts

Sen. Elizabeth Warren declined multiple opportunities on Thursday to say whether Hillary Clinton should release the transcripts of her paid speeches to Goldman Sachs and other financial institutions.

The Massachusetts Democrat and progressive icon, who has not publicly endorsed Clinton or Bernie Sanders, was pressed on the issue during an interview with "CBS This Morning."

“Look, I think that our candidates are out doing what they should be doing in a primary. They are debating the issues," said Warren, whose outspokenness against Wall Street has fueled and defined her career both in and out of Congress.

It should be obvious by now that no one except Bernie and a few of his followers care about that shit.

It isn't pleasant, even on the lowest levels.

I imagine at Sen Warren's level, it's exponentially worse.

She will surely stay out of this transcript mess.

Note that she doesn't give a definitive answer. To me that's very telling.

It's the kind of thing people simply don't give a shit about. The ones who care were already voting against Clinton and just looking for a mode of attack.

How would releasing them "damage" her campaign? Does she not trust the people to make up their own minds about her performances for Wall Street big shots?

There's been way, way too much time to create "scrubbed" versions, and if video or other plausible non-Hillary evidence of the content of those speeches was going to surface, it would have done so by now. This is a dead issue.

At least about the Fiat. But, as to Hillary's ability to CYA, she needs new and more creative writers to handle her misspeaks, mistakes, and all too well known mendacity.
