2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI saw interviews with 4 of the debate questioners on CNN & one on Fox
They all said they were undecided before and after the debae were leaning towards Obama. The person on Fox said Obama prvately expanded on his answer about Libya attack and said he did not want to give out a lot of detail at first because he wanted to be certain the intelligence matched up and was correct. He said he was happy with his answer. Good!

(801 posts)until I saw the Repub field in the primaries and I did lean towards Romney among all of them but I was still not decided at all. Then when he got the nod, I started listening to him more closely and researching all his various positions on things over the years and determined he was an opportunist, doing and saying whatever necessary to advance his march to the WH. I then decided before the conventions I would NOT vote for Romney under any circumstances. So, then I was torn between voting for Obama and not voting at all. So, I started listening to Obama more, reviewing his decent record as president and so forth and decided even though I didn't vote for him in 2008, I would this time around. Now I've become soooooo disgusted with repubs and Romney, I just can't fathom how anyone could support them.
I belong to another forum which has slowly been overtaken by really dumb, talking point republicans who cannot see beyond any of them even if it slaps them in the face. Ubelieveable! I posted a long list of terrorist attacks under every president since 1972 and a chart that shows Obama has had the fewest under his watch to counter all the Libya crap from them and every time I do something detailed and honest like this, they move the goalpoasts and start back with the meme (false) that Obama did not call Benghazi a terrorist attack in the first two weeks and that he is doing nothing to keep this country safe. So then I list the things he has done regarding terror monitoring, killing Al Qaeda leaders, getting bin Laden and it is totally ignored and they are back on their meme. Disgusting and totally mind blowing that these people will be voting for Romney. Also, very frightening. Grrrrrrrrr.....

(51,574 posts)I know how hard it can be to try to talk to folks who've closed their minds. My in-laws are like that. I keep trying, like you. I never back down when they send me their crazy e-mails anyway. I just Google whatever crazy assertion is in the e-mail and send the facts back to them. They NEVER respond to those facts. They just send me a different crazy e-mail. Sigh.

who says his campaign will not be determined by fact checking.

If you really believed voted for obama in 2008 and were trully undecided before second debate and were moved by romney then
you would believe I spent a night with Scarlett Johansson.
