(10,650 posts)If it's is a lie, then the source is there.
So, is it your habit to call people liars when you see something you don't like? Or do you just do that to protect the anointed one? In any case it is pathetic.

(99,714 posts)And don't forget Goldwater was pro-choice and prol glbtq rights. He said nearly twenty five years ago during the DADT debate "I don't care if a soldier is straight. I only care if he shoots straight."
In fact when he became more "liberal" in his old age wing nuts blamed her.

(99,714 posts)When Reagan appointed Sandra Day O'Connor to SCOTUS The Moral Majority opposed her because she was nominally pro-choice and urged Christians to oppose her... Barry Goldwater said it's "time for Christians to kick Jerry Falwell in the ass."

(11,573 posts)is nothing more or less than the horse-trading that is the chief mechanism of politics in a democracy. Lyndon Johnson called it "the art of the possible."
Bernie Sanders is no doubt a nice guy, but he's an idealogue. Idealogues leave messes behind them, from Savonarola to GWBush. That is not a desirable outcome of this election.

So... in other words... if *Cruz* is the nominee, he ( Cruz) is even better than Hillary.
No *question* about it.

(10,749 posts)His first wife was a Goldwater girl. She died. His second wife may have been s Goldwater girl - she would have been on her thirties at the time - but a wick check on the Google didn't turn up anything. And they were married for only six years. For all we know she voted for Clinton the year she got married. This was an idiotic op.
