In fact, I welcome corruption. Maybe it's because government has always been corrupt and I'm afraid of change. Or maybe I'm corrupt myself. Heck, maybe the Hillary campaign is paying me to support her on a left-wing message board! Whatever the case may be, I am perfectly happy to vote for a corrupt (this entire paragraph is sarcasm) candidate who will perpetuate and in fact worsen the status quo that is destroying lives and will eventually destroy our planet.
I'll bet any amount of money that the above paragraph is shared on social media with the mid-sentence parenthetical removed. There are simply no lengths to which True Believers will not go to perpetuate their chosen myths.
ETA: If there's any doubt, just read the comments.

If not, you may just want to dial it back quite a bit.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Empty, disruptive vanity thread that has nothing whatsoever to do with the primaries, but is solely an invitation slander on other DUers.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Mon Mar 21, 2016, 11:23 AM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Have to agree with the alerter on this one. This is disruptive and serves no other purpose.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The poster is being an ass as per usual, but being one isn't a violation of TOS. ~JonLeibowitz.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: From the OP: This entire paragraph is sarcasm. I'll take it that way.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Inviting others to be asses is not against DU Community Standards. Slandering someone is. This alert reminds me of those who blame speed limits for getting a ticket when they speed.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: meh
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I agree with the alerter.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Not OTT. The poster looks stupid and paranoid.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

Other than Google stumble-upons, and the possible occasional snide "You won't believe what I saw on a message board" Facebook comment, I don't think the masses are paying much attention to what goes on in this little niche of the Interwebs.

(10,007 posts)Your candidate stumped and voted for the Iraq War Resolution, yet you don't let that affect your support for her.
Your candidate appointed lobbyists from the private prison industry as fundraising bundlers for her campaign, yet you don't let that affect your support for her.
Your candidate has accepted millions of dollars in speaking fees from the Wall Street corporations responsible for destroying the economy, yet you don't let that affect your support for her.
Your candidate orchestrated the destruction of Libya and gloated about it afterward, yet you don't let that affect your support for her.
Your candidate has financed her campaign with corporate PAC money, yet you don't let that affect your support for her.
So yes, it appears that you don't care about corruption. More likely, you only care about corruption when the other side does it and you can use that fact to pose as a 'concerned liberal.'

think
(11,641 posts)of the bank.
It could have been one big coincidence while still looking like a corrupt act. Perfectly legal. But should it be? What do you say?
CONOR FRIEDERSDORF JUL 31, 2015
The Swiss bank UBS is one of the biggest, most powerful financial institutions in the world. As secretary of state, Hillary Clinton intervened to help it out with the IRS. And after that, the Swiss bank paid Bill Clinton $1.5 million for speaking gigs. The Wall Street Journal reported all that and more Thursday in an article that highlights huge conflicts of interest that the Clintons have created in the recent past.
~Snip~
The article adds that there is no evidence of any link between Mrs. Clintons involvement in the case and the banks donations to the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, or its hiring of Mr. Clinton. Maybe its all a mere coincidence, and when UBS agreed to pay Bill Clinton $1.5 million the relevant decision-maker wasnt even aware of the vast sum his wife may have saved the bank or the power that she will potentially wield after the 2016 presidential election.
~Snip~
Even Democrats who arent concerned about the agenda of Big Finance ought to ask themselves if America is best served by a president and first spouse who care so little about preserving the confidence that the public can reasonably have in the integrity of their actions. They are far from the only members of our elite whove put a payday ahead of the common good, but its hard to think of a more flagrant example.
