They probably have internal numbers showing them ahead. As I said in another thread. It is highly unlikely that Romney loses North Carolina and wins Ohio on the same night.

(or THINK they do) or they're giving up. North Carolina? Doubt they're giving up. But... if maybe they leave nobody watching the store, somebody could move in...

They can add just like us. They can see that winning NC makes no difference at all if they lose OH.

They almost certainly feel that even if they are almost hopelessly behind in OH, they have to win OH to win. Therefore, they leave NC where they feel they may win even if they are not there, to go to OH where they believe they have to be there in order to win.
