...Obama carried Oregon by 16 points in 2008, but leads by 7 points today. Compared to a SurveyUSA poll 5 weeks ago, Obama has lost 2 points: then, he led by 9.

Among men, Obama has gained ground: he had trailed by 3 points now leads by 2. Among women, Obama has lost ground: he had led by 21 points, now leads by 11.

Obama gained points among men to take the lead, but lost 10 points among women?

Oregon this time without the Support of Medical Cannabis Consumers, Their Families and Supporters.
In 2008 Obama recieved Overwhelming support from this group based upon his campaign promises to use Science, Fiscal Responsibility and Common Sense.
Instead Pres Obama Increased Raids by far More than the Bush Admin, failed to use science, and Continues to invest $20-$25 Billion Annually in a Failed Prohibition For Profit.
It's costing Oregonians 1% of the total Fed Budget and We can't afford that in light of the fact Oregon Now Spends More State and Federal Money on Law Enforcement, Prisons etc than it is Willing to Invest in Education/Our Kids.
I could be very wrong, but conversations "on the street" tell me that the Obama Camp ought Not to take Oregon for granted.
I am however voting straight Dem---But in all honesty? I can't speak for the rest of family, friends and neighbors this time around.
Last time in 2008, Everybody voted for PBO.

Tell everyone you know whose number one issue is marijuana to vote Gary Johnson, and see how that turns out for Mitt.

where they're spending their vote. Before that it was R Paul.

It's a serious matter when Mr. Johnson cannot win, but those votes for Johnson could be enuf to let RMoney Win!
I'm a bit, quite frankly, concerned.

Too many folks don't see the bigger picture-or are so frustrated they feel they have nothing to lose.
It's worrisome to me because there are so many folks who know of or are related to someone who is either involved in, with or Supports Medical Cannabis. They see, first hand the relief this medicine offers and the safety/efficacy of Cannabis.

This has Nothing to do with Legalization.

You do know that the majority of Ron Paul supporters are wingnuts or Republicans too ashamed to identify with the party, don't you?

Take heart, anyone who was supporting Ron Paul and is moving to Gary Johson is going to be a lost vote for Mitt.

Cannabis supporters definitely helped carry AG Rosenblum's Huge victory during the Primary in May between Two Dems, one Not embarrassed nor intimidated by the "political taboo" surrounding matters of medical cannabis--and the other totally anti, unwilling to debate, learn-My way or the highway...
Rosenblum won 35 of 36 counties and 67% of the vote.
Could she have won without them? Probably/possibly--I safely assume it would not have been as wide a margin and 1/3 of her fund raising dollars would have been absent.....
We'll not know anything more for sure other than being certain of the growing political influence by these groups.
