1511 Adults were polled by telephone survey.

1) If Pew did a poll with that party affiliation breakdown Obama would be doing much better than he was in the last one.
2) A lot of those independents are discouraged and disgruntled Republicans
3) #2 explains why Romney is doing so well among independents in some polls.
