Now That the Economy Is Really Heating Up, It's No Longer The Determining Factor In The Election

Have you noticed?

For 3 years, all we've heard in the media is that the economy would be THE factor in this election. That meme was good even through the past summer, even as positive job growth was being sustained for 28-plus months.

But in the past couple of weeks, the unemployment rate has dropped below 8%. The unemployment rate is heading DOWN in 41 OUT OF 50 STATES. The stock market is going through the roof, flirting with hitting an all-time high. GM has regained its place as the TOP automaker IN THE WORLD. New applications for unemployment benefits are DOWN. Consumer confidence is moving UP. Etc, etc, etc.

AND YET - where is the media trumpeting these facts? Where is the media asserting that the good news on the economy is converging at exactly the time it needs to to guarantee President Obama's reelection? Where is the media taking their victory lap to say, "We told you this election would hinge on the economy, and we were right. The improving economy is propelling President Obama to victory."

Nope.

According to the media, the election will NOW be determined by the media declaring Mitt Romney the winner in the first presidential debate. Ignore the fact that the fact checkers have determined he lied his way through that debate. Ignore that fact that Joe Biden handily won the VP debate. Ignore the fact that President Obama SLAUGHTERED Romney in the second presidential debate. Ignore the fact that while the lying Romney may have "won" the first debate on style, President Obama won it on substance.

Yes, we're to believe that that 90 minutes of lying by Romney CHANGED EVERYTHING, and changed it irrevocably in Romney's favor.

Right!

And they keep saying this, even as the polls revert to where they were before that first debate, ie: heavily favoring President Obama.

I find that strange. How about you?

If it so much as rises by 0.1%, the GOP will pile on like never before and it could well be decisive in landing Romney the White House. That party has no shame.

They got some economist to say that EVEN though the unemployment rate is much improved in the US and the Swing States, it's not enough.

Your'e totally right. The stupid MSM suddenly has Romnesia, and can't remember that they said for years it would matter. Just like the terror thing... once the President's team got OBL, suddenly the media and republicans didn't care about it anymore. But wait.. now... now that thre was the Libya attack, SUDDENLY they fucking care about terror again...

Mitt Romney is a wolf in sheep's clothing. As usual the GOP is trying to fool unsuspecting middle class Americans into voting for him with false promises and a sketchy economic plan....BEWARE!
